God uses His sovereign power to encourage people to love each other, but He also allows us to make selfish choices that can tear us apart. God permits calamity so that we can experience His greatest gift – a free will. Without free will, you and I would be robots or lifeless, stuffed animals. Fortunately, God limits His power to let us make our own choices in life. Does your free will nullify God’s omnipotence? No, as Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a man are established by the Lord.” God is so powerful that He can allow you to choose and still work the outcome for His glory.
I was thinking about how God could have been choosing our spouses and directions for us when God can always turn things around in our favor
Does that challenge His omnipotence??
I don't know if you are getting something from all of these explanations.
God wanted us to be free but He wanted us to serve Him in all that we observe.
Can He put us in a tight corner where we will not be comfortable to serve Him?
Personally I doubt that hypothesis
A friend once said ''God ways are ways no one can predict, that even pastors and prophets get confused''.
God creates need(s) so we can become a better person. These are times He wishes to bless us. The greater your problem the greater your promotion.
STOP EXPECTING GOD TO CHOOSE SPOUSES AND OTHER THINGS FOR YOU. HE HAS GIVEN YOU THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHATSOEVER YOU WISH. JUST TAKE IT TO HIM AND LET HIM BLESS YOUR CHOICE .....
SAVE YOURSELF THE DOUBT OF HIS OMNIPOTENCE
